Boat School launched in Manchar Lake
The Community Supported Schools Program has launched a boat school in the village of Khan Mohammed Mallah in the Manchar Lake, nearly 30 kilometers away from Sehwan. The boat school has been set up with an investment of Rs.250, 000 and aims to provide educational opportunities to more than 200 children of the locality. The boat school has a library which provides community children access to books and learning material which are rare in
the area. The Foundation regularly monitors the boat school and facilitates the students to appear for the Sindh Board Annual Examinations. The boat school has infused hope, enthusiasm and joy in this tiny village especially amongst children. SEF has plans to replicate the boat school model in other communities of the Manchar area where education is still a hope.
