The Adopt-A-School program has formulated adoption schemes for keeping in mind the needs of various stakeholders. Hence there are three types of adoption i.e. for individual adopters, corporate adopters and schools interested in adopting a government school.
SEF supports the adopter during the adoption process in order to ensure that the adoption takes place in a smooth manner. For prospective adopters we have outlined the various phases involved during the adoption process.
Pre approval phase
• Program guidelines are provided to the individual/organization upon request.
• A government school is identified for adoption as per the preference of the individual/organization.
• A meeting is organized with the school administration and a needs analysis of the school is undertaken to identify strengths and weaknesses of the school.
• A report is submitted to the City District Government by the Sindh Education Foundation for the approval of adoption.
Post approval phase
• An initial meeting is organized of all stakeholders (including the Adopter, School Administration and the Sindh Education Foundation)
• A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed for the adoption.
Implementation phase
• Efforts are undertaken by the adopter for improving the school facilities and environment.
• School Management Committees are involved during the school improvement phase to ensure active community participation.
• The school is monitored on a regular basis to ensure that quality of education is maintained.
