Increasingly, all over the ‘underdeveloped’ world, traditional and localized livelihoods are under threat by the onslaught of globalization and neo-liberal economics. This trend raises questions regarding the future of sustainable livelihoods, diverse cultures and socio-economic systems. In response to this a worldwide coalition of concerned activists are campaigning for mitigating the assault of neo-liberalism on indigenous cultures and socio-economic systems.
