• To promote effective usage of information technology, especially in the public education system.
  

• To initiate research projects in order to identify possibilities of improvement and innovation in education.
  

• To gather and disseminate accurate information regarding education and development to government agencies, NGOs and donors for informed decision-making.
  

• To provide consultancy (transformatory) training services in the areas of information technology, information systems & educational research.
  

• To create strong institutional (global) linkages between the SEF and leading educational development organizations for collective learning and experience-sharing opportunities.

 

Educational Research

This component has been designed to inspire and communicate systematic research and critical thinking in education. Its purpose is to foster an exchange of ideas and research findings at a global scale in order to expand knowledge regarding education and development. Under this component the DPRC undertakes qualitative and quantitative studies on varying facets of educational development.

Publications

DPRC develops and disseminates periodicals to stimulate a meaningful and constructive discourse on the theories and practices of varied educational and developmental efforts, locally and globally. Through these publications, the DPRC hopes to create an environment of critical consciousness and liberatory education to intellectually mobilize the masses in a collective movement for social change.

IT Component

The IT component of DPRC comprises of data processing and website development activities. Data Processing includes monitoring and evaluation of all SEF programs and also development and maintenance of databases for all the programs.
