For the operation of the vast network of the program in Sindh, the Fellowship Schools Program appoints a Parent Education Committee (PEC) which then acts as a registered a Not-for- profit Organization with the Social Welfare Department. The PEC attends to the day to day management of the school. The members of PEC comprise parents and community members. Ideally, the PEC comprises 100% parents, with a maximum representation of mothers. If this is not possible, then a ratio of 80% parents and 20% non-

parents, i.e. community members is allowed. However, these non-parents cannot hold the position of Chairman or Treasurer of the committee. The PEC is re-elected at the completion of each school year.
