The Foundation bears it of crucial importance that for any educational program initiated for the community, members of the community are included in the venture so that communities have a sense of belonging and responsibility to the project. The Home Schools Program is also not run independently but the process is owned and partnered by multiple stakeholders, so that the best possible model of implementation emerges, with each stakeholder equally represented. The stakeholders compromise parents, community, SEF, teachers, students and non-governmental organizations.
Non-governmental organizations identify possible areas where the school can be located and are also responsible for the day-to-day management of the school. Village Education Committees (VECs) are formed after the school is operational in an area and play an integral role in the functioning of the school. Members of the committee comprise of parents and the community. VECs are not only responsible for the overall management of the school but also for its monitoring. The committees especially keep gender equality in focus so that maximum participation of girls can help attain inter-generational benefits.
