Professor Anita Ghulam Ali's association with SEF began when the organization did not even have an office address. For a year, the Managing Director's office was her personal car, which shuttled her between different government departments to accomplish the groundwork for the setting up of the Foundation. Initially SEF was allotted a single room in the Sindh Textbook Board Building and a skeleton staff (one assistant and one typist). The Foundation now comprises 164 staff members and has 5 sub-offices in Sindh and undertakes various educational initiatives and consultancies both for local and international organizations.
