• Programmatic Surveys

    M&E unit extended technical facilitation vis-à-vis development of survey tools and methodology, capacity building of data collectors, development of database and training on data entry and field supervision to ensure quality of data towards the Situation Analysis of 35 Home Schools, Situation Analysis of 159 government adopted schools, Household Survey of Malkai Para, Malir for establishing a new Women’s Literacy Empowerment Center, CSSP schools and community profiling, analysis of FSP data gathered for 116 Fellowship schools.

  • Database Development

    - SPEIP baseline database in Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access
    - RCC-II baseline database in Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access
    - HSP situation analysis database in Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access
    - AASP situation analysis database was developed using Active Server Pages (ASPs) and Microsoft Access
    - WLEP household survey database was developed using ASPs and Microsoft Access
    - Health management software for the CLEP health activity was developed using ASPs and Microsoft Access
    - RCC-II monitoring database, designed in Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access.

  • Technical Support to Consultancies

    The M&E unit extended technical support for the following consultancy projects:

    - RCC: The RCC-II baseline survey was conducted in order to obtain the existing situation of the RCC schools. The tools developed were unprecedented as they cover major aspects of ECD. The survey comprised of 6 questionnaires including the following:

      a) School Profile Form
      b) Child Assessment Form- katchi
      c) Child Assessment Form- Class 1
      d) Child Observation Form
      e) Family Profile Form
      f) Local Government and DoE form

    The team extended field-based support to the data collection teams of the partner NGOs. The data entered by the NGOs was analysed and a comprehensive RCC II baseline analysis report was developed.

    The RCC monitoring survey was conducted in order to gauge the impact of the programmatic interventions by comparing the current status of the schools and stakeholders with the baseline information. The survey questionnaires included School Profile Form and Classroom Observation Form.

    - SPEIP: Baseline survey was conducted for SPEIP by the M&E unit in order to capture the existing situation of the identified private schools, so that the intervention strategies could be shaped-up on the basis of the baseline results. The five SPEIP baseline tools for the 300 SPEIP partner schools included:

      a) School Profile
      b) School Management
      c) Student Questionnaire
      d) Parent Questionnaire
      e) Teacher Questionnaire

    The team was involved in data entry, consolidation, cleaning and analysis activities. Descriptive analysis was performed on the collected data and the SPEIP baseline analysis report was developed, comprising of detailed overall data analysis of each indicator.

    The SPEIP monitoring survey was devised in order to gauge the impact of the programmatic interventions by comparing the current status of the schools and stakeholders with the baseline information. The team was involved in data collection, entry, screening and consolidation. Detailed analysis was performed on the monitoring data and a presentation of the key findings of the survey was presented to the Managing Director, SEF.

  • Training Evaluations

    The unit conducted evaluation of key capacity building activities that were undertaken for the program teams as part of professional development and institutional strengthening. The following workshop sessions were evaluated based on the content, design and delivery of the training:
