Health Interventions for Working Children
A series of awareness session were conducted at the Child Development Center (CDC) by the SEF on topics of Health & Personal Hygiene, Cleanliness and First Aid. The sessions were highly interactive, and proactively engaged both children and their mothers in discussions on existing health issues in their surroundings and suggested solutions. First Aid kits and orientation on their usage was also provided to community members.
Although CDC implements a specialized health curriculum which highlights preventive health issues and imparts safe hygiene practices to children, such community learning sessions conducted by both SEF staff and outside health practitioners greatly help to improve health consciousness amongst the larger community. |
