Professional Development of Employees
A 2-Day workshop on “Mentoring & Peer Support” was organized by British Council on 18th and 19th March, 2010 at a local hotel in Karachi and attended by members of SEF’s Learning Support Unit. This workshop was the second in a series of workshop being conducted since December 2009. SEF trainers Ms. Tayyaba and Ms. Zafreen attended the sessions which were conducted by trainers of the English Department of University of Karachi. The primary objective of the workshop was information sharing and discussion on mentoring experiences implemented by the participants after the first phase. It also served to make clear the purpose behind mentoring and the ways it can benefit the people involved. SEF emphasizes continuous capacity building of staff members and encourages participation of teams in such training programs.
