Orientation of 162 Entrepreneurs on Effective School Management
An Entrepreneurs’ Orientation Workshop was organized in June 2009 in Karachi for 162 entrepreneurs, who have been selected for the establishment of 200 private schools in the first phase of Promoting Low-cost Private Schooling in Rural Sindh Project. The workshop aimed to introduce the partners to the overall project framework highlighting key interventions and activities to be carried out in PPRS, entrepreneurs’ responsibilities for effective school leadership, management and administration and rules of engagement with SEF (including administrative and financial record keeping, and reporting guidelines). The 200 schools established as part of the project will be registered with the Private Schools Directorate and will work in accordance with the Sindh Private Education Institutions Ordinance 2001. SEF also shared an initial academic plan for the PPRS schools. This plan based on self explanatory and practical lessons will help entrepreneurs to guide teachers for initiating academic sessions in their respective schools. |
